Americans and immigrants believe that speaking English is a significant marker of American identity. Research shows that Americans who frequently interact with immigrants that speak little, or no English are bothered by their inability to communicate. The ability to speak English is an important part of assimilation in the United States. Right here in our own community we have a large Hispanic population. We believe in helping them obtain these skills so they can more comfortably interact with English speaking neighbors, friends, and co-workers. Speaking the English Language is essential to integrating in society and will help them to advance as well as advocate for themselves. We will provide tools to help them excel in these areas.
